Biography
Charlie Neuwald is a self-taught analog photographer based in Brussels.
Discovering photography while playing around with a camera from the sixties, they started being creative while taking portraits of people from their surroundings.
It is by attending events in the LGBTQIA+ community that their intentions became clear : Freaks & Queers need to be more represented.
That is how they specified their portraiture work those last two years.
To capture the beautiful, the marginal, the out-of-frame, the wounds and the love of oneself.
To try to give a change in people’s perspective of queerness.
