BAR ROOM
More than a performance to open the festival, GOUPILS is an installation of three immersive experiences in a new world. Volumetric video is an exciting medium which allows the viewer to move around 3-D images using virtual reality headset.
Each experience lasts about ten minutes. The three tableaux – “Goupil”, “Rana”, and “Socrates and Alcibiades” – are accompanied by a voice-over and specific ambient sounds, proposing a reflectionon the mechanisms of inclusion/exclusion and minority powers.

A radical trans-poetic massage for the ears and the heart. A text with words as strong as a well-delivered uppercut. It scratches, it tears you apart, and then it’s soft… like a punch in the face! It takes you down slowly, like spit dripping in between breasts. It’s raw flesh, my bones creaking between your teeth. It’s 20 minutes of dark and funny poetry, like a hymn to the urgency of a certain rage.
